The first time I met Christy was rushing an underweight bottle baby in a panic to her house late at night.
She was able to stabilize and feed him. We then found out that my bottle baby was a gruel baby with a full set of teeth, he was just severely malnourished. He grew up to be one of my cutest fosters ever.
Since that fateful night, Christy has proven to be the most reliable and knowledgeable medical mentor that anyone could ever dream of. She is one of Houston’s premier medical fosters, tackling the toughest neo-natal medical cases. Even the most heartbreaking cases have a chance at life with Christy. In those instances that even her tremendous skills cannot save the little one, she mourns, gets back up, and saves another life. Her love for the helpless homeless babies of Houston is endless! In addition to saving the lives of her own fosters, she has been instrumental in teaching a new batch of competent medical fosters who are now saving lives of their own.
